What is SPOTICAR?


SPOTiCAR is the manufacturer approved used vehicle programme for Peugeot, Vauxhall, Citroën, Fiat, Jeep and Abarth franchised retailers who are accredited to participate in the scheme.

The brand has been created to simplify the journey for private and business customers, bringing together the manufacturer approved used vehicles from the official retailers of PEUGEOT, VAUXHALL, CITROËN, FIAT, JEEP and ABARTH, therefore offering customers access to over 12,000 approved used vehicles from over 350 franchised retailers Nationwide.  

Is it safe to buy from SPOTICAR?

Does SPOTICAR offer electric and hybrid cars?

Yes, with now being an ideal time to make the switch to a lower emission vehicle. The SPOTICAR site has over 1500 electric and hybrid vehicles across multiple brands to choose from with price points to suit your budget.

What are the benefits of purchasing a full electric / hybrid vehicle?

  • How does charging work with an EV / Hybrid Vehicle?
  • Owners of electric cars are able to conveniently charge their cars at their own home, saving them time and energy. This means that you can get on with the rest of your day without thinking about that last minute trip to the petrol station.

Alternatively, if you do not have the ability to install off street charging at home then you can find charge points on some streets, supermarkets, gyms or other common destinations such as multi-storey carparks, shopping centres etc.

How does SPOTICAR ensure the Quality and Reliability of Electric and Hybrid Vehicles?

Just like traditional cars, our hybrid and full electric vehicles are prepared prior to sale to a high standard with a comprehensive multi-point check. Our trained technicians check safety, bodywork, electronic components like charging ports and battery health. Meeting these high standards of quality and reliability so all purchases can be complete with peace of mind.

Is my data safe with SPOTICAR?

Absolutely. Data privacy is pivotal, so we’ll only ever ask you for data that helps us give you the best experience, and we won’t share it unless you give us permission

Do SPOTICAR Offer part exchange?

Yes, we offer a part exchange valuation tool on the Spoticar.co.uk website. The valuation tool asks you for a minimum amount of information, it then analyses the Retail value of like for like vehicles and then creates a part exchange value based on costs that a Retailer will face when agreeing to buy the car from you. We assume that the vehicle is in very good condition and has all the relevant paperwork; registration document, service history for example. Your local SPOTICAR retailer will then be able to provide you with a firm offer once they have had an opportunity to view your vehicle in person. This may differ to the initial value provided on the SPOTICAR valuation tool and the retailer has the final decision in what they agree to pay to buy your part exchange.

What warranty is included with SPOTICAR purchases?

Every car is equipped with a minimum 12 months SPOTICAR warranty and 12 months roadside assistance. The warranty is administered by our chosen partner, either Car Care Plan or Allianz, contact details further below. The Roadside Assistance is administered by RAC and offers roadside assistance, onward travel, recovery, home start and European cover.

Why has the list price of a car changed?

The price of any used vehicle displayed on the SPOTICAR website is the price our franchised retailer partner has decided best represents the value of that vehicle to a Retail customer. Retailers will review their pricing on a regular basis to ensure it remains competitive in a fast-moving marketplace, so prices may change on a regular basis. You can compare vehicles on the website and store search parameters, in order, to monitor price movements. In some instances prices may go up as well as down reflecting the supply and demand certain vehicles will represent.

Is the vehicles history reliable?

We require our SPOTICAR network to undertake a check of the vehicles they are offering for sale. This check will be completed via a recognised body, such as HPI or Experian, to guarantee the vehicles have no outstanding finance and have not been stolen or written off prior to customer purchase.

What if I’m not happy with the car after collection/delivery?

As your contract of sale is directly with your chosen retailer they are in the best position to resolve any issue that you have.

Please inform your relevant SPOTICAR retailer about any issues straight away.  Any approved used vehicle purchased from a SPOTICAR retailer that develops a fault within 30 days of the delivery date, and the fault cannot be rectified may be exchanged for another approved used vehicle, at the same Retailer. Please ask for full terms and conditions at the time of purchase.

How do I find the details of my Warranty cover?

We review the level of cover we offer on a regular basis to ensure that when you purchase a SPOTICAR vehicle from one of our participating retailers you are protected by one of the best warranties in the automotive marketplace.

Your SPOTICAR retailer will register your warranty/assistance/MOT Cover and you should, within 14 days, receive an electronic fulfilment pack which will provide you with the details you require in the unlikely event you need to make a claim on the warranty. If you do not receive this please contact your Retailer in the first instance.

If I have paid to extend my warranty to 24 months and want to transfer it to a new owner or I changed my mind, can I change my Warranty cover?

Customer Satisfaction

We care about your feedback and strive to give the best possible experience when buying from a SPOTICAR retailer.

If you have given your consent at the point of purchase we will contact you to complete a customer satisfaction survey. This will ask you to rate the service you received from 1-10. Our expectation is that you will have received a level of service that will warrant at least 9 out of 10. The survey will be emailed to you within 14 days of your purchase.
